Immediate Implant Temporizations The ability to place temporary implant restoration (ie. crowns, sectional bridges or full-arch bridges supported on implants) right after the dental implant(s) is placed in the jaw enables patients to maintain aesthetic, speech and modified chewing function until the permanent restoration is fabricated after the healing time is complete. The immediate temporary implant restoration is properly contoured and colored to mimic the shape and colors of the patient’s natural teeth. This technique enables patients to maintain daily life functions and improve quality of life, many of which are not possible with the traditional removable partial or complete dentures.Furthermore, in the aesthetic areas of the mouth (anterior region of the mouth that is visible in smiling and speaking), placing temporary implant restoration on the day of implant placement enables me to immediately sculpt the gum tissue in order to rebuild the natural architecture of the gum tissue (color, scalloping and thickness of the gum, the papilla height), making the gum around dental implant appears as natural and similar to the gum surrounds healthy teeth as much as possible. |
